Jaslyn Marshall is a Canadian photographer, storyteller, and creative collaborator based in the Greater Toronto Area. Her work touches on transitions, changes, disconnection, and the existence of liminal times and spaces. Marshall’s keen focus on intimate, truthful portrayals of her subjects is a testament to her love of the various social dynamics within humanity, and the marks they leave on the world. Her photographs offer intimate views of ordinary spaces and everyday life in fleeting moments. She takes great pleasure in turning the banal nature of the human condition on its head.

When Jaslyn is not working, she is probably laughing at memes, daydreaming about dogs, or reading a good book.

"Eventually I discovered for myself the utterly simple prescription for creativity: Be intensely yourself. Don’t try to be outstanding; don’t try to be a success; don’t try to do pictures for others to look at – just please yourself."
— Ralph Steiner
